Wells Fargo Internship

I spent my summer at Wells Fargo in Charlotte, NC. It was a unique opportunity to gain insight on how computer science and the financial industry work together to create some amazing systems behind the scenes.

During this time, I learned SQL Language, and the process and security process to gain access to ultra secure SQL databases. Using the information, I created prototype templates to generate reports using SQL Server and Power BI to report information to the U.S. State Treasuries for over 1,000 specialized bank accounts.

I had to coordinate between the Enterprise Function Team and Business Team to bridge the information between SQL Server information and Financial Requirements needed to report the U.S. State Treasuries. At the end of my internship, I was required to present my findings to the managers as well as the process I followed. I was then instructed to create step by step documentation to give to the full-time developers so that when I left, they would continue working on the project that I started. This documentation was designed to ensure the continuation of the project initiated during my internship, even after my tenure had concluded. I continued to follow up with the Development team to get feedback on the clarity of my documentation.
